Overview

Bilingual Recall is a web app that runs in your browser. We have no account system and we do not collect what you study.

Your study data

The articles you import, what you type while practising, your progress, your vocabulary list and your settings are stored in your own browser’s local storage (IndexedDB and localStorage). They are not uploaded to our servers.

Clearing browser data or changing devices removes these records. Please use the backup feature in the app’s Settings.

Dictionary and read-aloud

Word lookups use the offline dictionary that ships with the app, and the dictionary files are loaded from this site. Read-aloud uses the voices built into your browser or system.

The “Online dictionary” link in the lookup popup opens Bing Dictionary, a third-party site. If you click it, the word you looked up appears in that link.

Home pages

The home pages are static web pages and do not use analytics or tracking scripts of their own.
